What is Creative Therapy?

At A Mind Apart, Creative Therapy brings together Art Psychotherapy, Dramatherapy, Music Therapy, and Dance Movement Psychotherapy under one supportive umbrella. Our therapists are fully qualified, Masters-level professionals, registered with the HCPC and relevant professional bodies, so you can feel safe and supported every step of the way.

We’re passionate about providing a secure, playful, and accessible environment for everyone. Creative Therapy lets you step back from daily pressures and explore your mental health in a way that feels right for you. Our sessions value your unique experiences, inviting both your body and mind into the process. We work with children, young people, and adults facing anxiety, depression, neurodiversity, disability, eating disorders, psychosis, adoption, care, trauma, and more.

We offer both group and one-to-one therapy, tailored to your needs, and have space for new referrals now. Get in touch to find the right support for you or your family.

Dramatherapy

Dramatherapy is about exploring and rewriting your story. Our dramatherapists help you look at your experiences from new angles, offering ways to express yourself and change the narrative in a safe, creative space—no acting required.

Art Psychotherapy

Art Therapy offers a safe space to use creativity for wellbeing. Through drawing, painting, collage, and more, you can express emotions, reflect on your journey, and imagine new possibilities for your future.

Dance and Movement Psychotherapy

Dance and Movement Psychotherapy invites your body into the conversation. These sessions use movement, not performance, to help you process feelings, release tension, and discover new paths to recovery.
